The Lysgaard sisters were always driven by enterprise and lots of energy. Years back when they first started a joint project – which was soon to produce a roaring success – it was precisely driven by this burning desire to create and design. The FREOLI children’s wear collection was born in 1999 and became the start of a fantastic fairytale that has not yet ended. The collection outdid all expectations and instilled in the sisters the courage to take the leap fully. The secret dream –to create a new designer brand for women – was suddenly tangible reality, and luckily the Lysgaard sisters seized the chance and created the brand in their own name. LYSGAARD was born and soon became a huge national and international success. Today, the sisters Camilla and Henriette Lysgaard operate the business with a loving yet qualified hand for the pleasure of women across the world. It is obvious that the LYSGAARD collection has been designed with the heart. The LYSGAARD brand does not only represent a certain design, but an entire lifestyle that values quality of life and harmony higher above anything else. The collection has its own unique style: feminine silhouettes combined with a mixture of nostalgia and coolness and with focus on beautiful and spectacular colours and patterns. They work intensively with the development of patterns and prints, and each season these features find a new expression and can be seen throughout the collection as allover print or as small, fine details where you least expect them. For both sisters the all-important consideration is that the design is always recognisable, but innovative, and exactly for this reason the LYSGAARD collection is among the most sought after year after year. The look changes from season to season, but the philosophy behind the design is that the woman who purchases the clothes will experience a freedom to mix the different styles from the very simple looks to the bolder combinations.
